The team went to about 50 homes throughout the city of Social Circle and conducted compliance checks on probationers and parolees. The arrest included charges such as possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, possession of dangerous drugs and tampering with evidence as well as two misdemeanor arrests for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The operation focused on offenders with 4th amendment waivers due to probation or parole and offenders with active arrest warrants. Social Circle Police Chief Tyrone Oliver announced that a joint operation between the Social Circle Police Department, Georgia Department of Community Supervision, Walton County Sheriff’s Office and Walton County 911 conducted Tuesday and Wednesday, May 9 – 10, resulted in 15 arrests, 13 of which were felony arrests.
